Guidelines for Abstract Submission and Poster Presentation

Abstract Submission Guideline

  • Please read the instructions carefully in order for your abstract to be accepted.
  • The deadline for submission is 15th May 2026.
  • At least one of the authors must be registered as a participant of the 10th Asia Pacific Neuropsychiatry Conference (NEURON 2026).
  • All abstracts should be submitted in Word format via email to npmy.hsnz@gmail.com and addressed to the Abstract Committee. 
  • Authors may submit MORE THAN ONE abstract.
  • All submitted abstracts will undergo a peer-review process by a panel of reviewers. The decision of the Scientific Committee is final and irrevocable.
  • All accepted abstracts will be notified via email/our website on 31st May 2026.
  • Authors who fail to pay the registration fee, latest by the first day of the conference, will be automatically disqualified.
  • Posters are required to be printed by the authors and displayed during the conference. Costs of printing are to be borne by the participants. 
  • If you have further enquiries, please send them via email to npmy.hsnz@gmail.com, addressed to the Abstract Committee. Alternatively, you may Whatsapp Dr. Maisarah (+60134890389) or Dr. Amalina (+60132306181).
  • Requests for withdrawal of participation can be made via email addressed to the Abstract Committee. 

Abstract Format

  • Abstracts must be written in English.
  • Font type: Times New Roman, and font size: 12, double spacing.
  • The abstract title should not exceed 120 characters.
  • Author’s name, affiliation and address should be included.
  • The abstract should not exceed 300 words.
  • The abstract should have the following subheadings:
    1. Original research: Introduction, Methods, Results and Conclusion.
    2. Case series/report: Introduction, Case presentation and Conclusion.

  • Please do not include any paragraph or line formatting, table or figure.
  • Please ensure that your abstract does not contain spelling, grammatical or scientific errors. Abstracts will not be modified once submitted.
  • All abstracts should be written in MS Word format (.doc or .docx).
  • Please save your abstract using this format “NEURON2026-your name.doc”. 
  • If you submit more than one abstract, you are required to put number at the beginning of your name e.g “NEURON2026-1your name.doc”, “NEURON2026-2your name.doc”. 

All abstracts must be submitted in Word format to npmy.hsnz@gmail.com and addressed to the Abstract Committee.

Poster Presentation Guideline

Abstracts selected for poster presentation are required to follow these guidelines:

  • Authors are required to print a high-resolution poster to present onsite.
  • The poster should be printed in portrait orientation in A1 size - 23"(width) x 33"(length). Failure to comply may result in disqualification. 
  • Title of the poster should be the same as the submitted abstract.
  • Name and affiliation of the authors should be marked with superscript Arabic number (e.g. 1, 2) according to the authors’ respective affiliations.
  • Contents of poster:
    1. Research: Introduction, Objectives, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, References, Acknowledgement.
    2. Case report: Introduction, Case presentation, Discussion, Conclusion, References, Acknowledgement.

  • The authors are encouraged to include figures and tables whenever possible.
  • Please put your organizational logo on the left upper end, and NPMY logo (PLEASE FIND IT BELOW) and abstract number at the right upper end of the poster.
  • Please use appropriate and readable font and font size.
  • A poster example is provided below.
  • The posters will need to be put up by authors between 0730am - 0800am on the day of registration.
  • Please place your poster on the soft boards according to the number provided in the abstract acceptance email. 
  • Push pins/sticky tacks will be provided to pin up your poster.
