Abstract Submission and POSTER GUIDELINE

Abstract Submission Guideline

  • Please read the instructions carefully as abstracts submitted not according to these instructions will not be accepted.
  • The deadline for submission is on 30th June 2025.
  • One of the authors must be registered as a participant of the 9th Asia Pacific Neuropsychiatry Conference (NEURON2025)
  • All abstracts should be submitted in Word format to npmy2025@gmail.com and addressed to the Abstract Committee. 
  • Authors may submit MORE THAN ONE abstract.
  • All submitted abstracts will undergo a peer-review process by a panel of expert reviewers. The decision of the Scientific Committee is final and irrevocable.
  • All accepted abstracts will be notified via our website on 21st July 2025 
  • Presenting authors who fail to pay the registration fee until the day of conference will be automatically withdrawn.
  • Selected posters are required to be printed by the authors and displayed during the conference. Any participants who requires assistance from the organizer to print the poster, please whatsapp to Dr Cindy Chai (+60168833022) or Dr Viviana Lui (+60102802218) or email them at npmy2025@gmail.com , addressed to Abstract Committee - all costs are borne by the participants. International participants may be required to pay a higher amount due to bank transfer fees.
  • Requests for withdrawal of participation can be made via email addressed to Abstract Committee. 
  • Reviewers’ decisions are final. No appeal will be entertained.

Abstract Format Instructions

  • Abstracts must be written in English.
  • Font face: Times New Roman and font size: 12 points, double spacing.
  • The abstract title should not exceed 120 characters.
  • Author’s name, affiliation and address should be included.
  • The abstract should not exceed 300 words.
  • The abstract should have the following subheadings:
    1. Original research: Introduction, Methods, Results and Conclusion.
    2. Case series/ Case report: Introduction, Case presentation and Conclusion.

  • Please do not include any paragraph or line formatting, table or figure.
  • Please ensure that your abstract does not contain spelling, grammatical or scientific errors. Abstracts will not be modified once submitted.
  • All abstracts should be written in MS Word format (.doc or .docx).
  • Please save your abstract using this format “NEURON2025-your name.doc”. If you submit more than one abstract, you are required to put number at the beginning of your name e.g “NEURON2025-1your name.doc”, “NEURON2025-2your name.doc”.

Poster Presentation Guideline

Abstracts selected for printed poster presentation are required to follow the following guidelines:

  • Authors are required to print a high-resolution copy of your poster to present onsite.
  • The poster need to be put up by authors by 0730am - 0800am on the day of registration
  • Please paste your poster according to the number provided in the abstract acceptance page. The paper numbers will be placed on the poster boards in numerical order.
  • Push pins will be provided to hang your poster.
  • The poster shall be printed in portrait orientation (A1 size 23"(width) x 33"(length)). Please take note that failure to comply may result in your poster being disqualified. 
  • Title of the poster should be the same with the submitted abstract.
  • Name and affiliation of the authors should be marked with superscript Arabic number (e.g. 1, 2) according to the authors’ corresponding affiliations.
  • Contents of poster:
    1. Research: Introduction, Objectives, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, References, Acknowledgement.
    2. Case report: Introduction, Case presentation, Discussion, Conclusion, References, Acknowledgement.

  • The authors are encouraged to include figures and tables whenever possible.
  • Please put your organizational logo on the left upper end, and NPMY logo (PLEASE FIND IT BELOW) and abstract number at the right upper end of the poster.
  • Please use appropriate and readable font and font size.
